Python Package for Simplified Scope Control
26 September 2025 - Pico Technology has officially released pyPicoSDK, a new Python package designed to simplify the use of PicoScopes. Built on top of the existing PicoSDK, pyPicoSDK allows engineers, developers and hobbyists to create Python scripts that control their PicoScope devices more quickly and easily. The new library is an extension of the picosdk-python-packages, bundling all direct driver functions into a single group. It also includes built-in helper functions that reduce the complexity of many PicoScope operations. This design reflects Python’s core philosophy, enabling users to build solutions with speed and simplicity.
Tektronix introduces 7 Series DPO
16 September 2025 – Tektronix announced the 7 Series DPO oscilloscope, the first in a new generation of ultra-high-performance instruments. Keysight introduces new portfolio of Core Bench Instruments
28 August 2025 - Keysight Technologies introduces its Smart Bench Essentials Plus, a next-generation portfolio of core bench instruments designed to deliver improved precision and reliability. The new portfolio includes Keysight’s power supply, waveform generator, digital multimeter, and oscilloscope, advanced instruments that are comprehensively tested to meet and exceed industry and safety standards, such as ISO/IEC17025, IEC61010, and CSA.
Sampling Oscilloscopes with Bandwidths up to 33 GHz
01 July 2025 – Pico Technology announced the extension of its PicoScope 9400A Series of high-bandwidth sampling oscilloscopes. The products are engineered to meet the demanding needs of high-speed electronics, communications, semiconductor research and high-energy physics applications. The PicoScope 9400A Series is built on Pico’s SXRTO technology and, with this launch, adds three models to the previously announced 25 GHz version, giving users a choice of 6 GHz, 16 GHz, 25 GHz and a flagship 33 GHz bandwidth model.
