Oscilloscope News

Siglent sds2352x10 December 2018 - The new Siglent SDS2000X-E 200/350MHz Oscilloscopes offer a sampling rate of 2GSa/s with standard record length of 28Mpts/channel, an impressive waveform capture rate of up to 400,000 frames/sec and it supports multiple powerful triggering modes. The new economical Super Phosphor Oscilloscopes are available in 200MHz and 350MHz bandwidths.

Siglent's newest oscilloscope series supports multiple powerful triggering modes that includes built-in serial bus triggering and decoding (I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, LIN).

The design includes deep memory FFT functionality to enable test signals to be viewed in the frequency domain. It uses up to 1 million samples for the FFT calculation, providing the SDS2000X-E with very high frequency resolution. Commonly used functions are accessed with the user-friendly one-button design, which supports Auto Setup, Default, Cursors, Measure, Roll, History, Display/Persist, Clear Sweep, Zoom and Print. A hardware co-processor executes fast measurement and math calculations to all 28 million samples to minimize analysis distortion. Also included in the design are on-screen automatic Bode plotting, and sixteen digital channels for optional MSO capability. For digital debugging, this means that users can set the MSO to trigger on data patterns or an I2C address with a certain data value, for instance. An optional USB-powered 25MHz AWG module can provide a convenient local test signal source.

The SDS2000X-E series employs a new generation of SPO technology, which, with its excellent signal fidelity, means that background noise is lower than in many similar products. This enables a minimum vertical input range of 500uV/div. The innovative, intelligent digital trigger system offers high sensitivity and low jitter, with selections of edge, slope, pulse width, window, runt, interval, timeout (dropout), pattern, and video triggering. History waveform recording and sequential triggering allow for extended waveform records to be captured, stored, and analyzed. Automatic measurements are provided for 38 parameters. Measurement statistics, zoom, gating, math, history and reference functions are also available.

The SDS2000X-E series provides a 256-level intensity grading display function and a color temperature display mode not found in other models in this class. An optional USB WiFi adapter allows for local wireless control and monitoring, while an onboard embedded application allows for remote control via web browser from anywhere.

With multiple interface capabilities (USB Host/Device (USB -TMC), LAN, Pass/Fail, Trigger Out) and SCPI remote control support, the SDS2000X-E series with its large 7" TFT display offers a versatile benchtop test tool for students and engineers alike. The SDS2000X-E series oscilloscopes are available now.
