PCI Express 6.0 Electrical Testing
23 January 2023 - Teledyne LeCroy announced new software tools for PCI Express 6.0 electrical test and validation: QPHY-PCIE6-TX-RX fully automated test software, as well as SDAIII-PCIE6 and SDAIII-PAMx characterization and debug software packages. The new software tools support faster 64 GT/s data transfer speeds using PAM4 multi-level signaling. The tools can be used with a Teledyne LeCroy LabMaster 10 Zi-A oscilloscope.
Oscillocope KnowledgeBase with more than 100 free Whitepapers, Webinars and Application Notes
16 January 2023 - The Oscilloscope KnowledeBase of OScopes.info, a whitepaper, application note and webinar library focusing on oscilloscopes, is still growing and includes meanwhile more than 100 whitepapers, application notes, webinars and videos. All with free access.
Cascadable Oscilloscopes featuring 4, 8 or more Channels
12 January 2023 - SIGLENT Technologies introduced a new series of oscilloscopes, which expands the existing performance series SDS6000A by 8 models. The new oscilloscopes are available as 4 and 8-channel versions without a display. The compact form factor (4-channel device: 1 HU, 8-channel device: 2 HU) saves a lot of rack space when integrated into the measurement system. Another special feature is that several of these devices can be switched together to form a multi-channel system. If you connect an external monitor and a mouse, the oscilloscopes can also be used "stand-alone".
Test Solution for 10 Mb/s In-Vehicle Designs
07 November 2022 – Teledyne LeCroy announced the addition of a CAN XL Trigger, Decode, Measure/Graph and Eye Diagram (TDME) oscilloscope software option, enabling users to test, validate and debug automotive electronic control units (ECUs) and 10 Mb/s in-vehicle network (IVN) designs. This new CAN-XL oscilloscope option positions Teledyne LeCroy as the only vendor to offer complete capabilities for testing any 10 Mb/s in-vehicle network.
USB4 Version 2.0 Physical Layer Testing
04 November 2022 – Teledyne LeCroy announced support for USB4 Version 2.0 physical layer compliance and validation with updates to its QualiPHY compliance test software and SDAIII-CompleteLinQ Serial Data Analysis software to support testing of new USB 80 Gbps data transfer speeds over the USB Type-C cable and connector.
Acute launched new 6-in-1 Instruments

Digitizer and Oscilloscope - Equal Alternatives?
Can a digitizer be used as an oscilloscope? What is the difference between an oscilloscope and a digitizer? Should I better use a digitizer or an oscilloscope in my next application? These are interesting questions and the best way to start to answer these is the look up the dictionary definition of an oscilloscope: "An electronic instrument used to measure changing electric voltages. It displays the waveforms of electric oscillations on a screen."

Precision Phase Noise Measurement with an Oscilloscope - Part 1
Often clock jitter induced from the power supply noise, signal routings, or other signals severely degrade the performance of the system. Clock generation and distribution in a FPGA for a high speed analog application is particularly prone to these issues. They manifest themselves in phase noise or clock jitter, which is the random variation of the period of a signal over time. Clearly, optimization of the design requires verification of the integrity of such clocks.
