Oscilloscope News

Keysight-Infiniium 90000X25 March 2014 – Agilent announced a next-generation user interface for its Infiniium real-time oscilloscopes. It is the first oscilloscope user interface to take advantage of new display technologies and significantly enhance the user experience by offering faster documentation, personalized viewing and improved usability.

Tektronix-MDO4000B04 March 2014 – Tektronix announced that its MDO4000B Series of Mixed Domain Oscilloscopes are now available at the same price point as MSO4000B Mixed Signal Oscilloscopes. The Tektronix Mixed Domain Oscilloscopes (MDO) include a built-in spectrum analyzer along with 4 analog channels and 16 digital signal inputs — with the MDO4000B Series enabling engineers to capture synchronized analog, digital and RF signals for a complete, time-correlated system view, saving debug time.

Rigol-DS1000Z03 March 2014 - RIGOL Technologies presents a mixed signal extension to the DS1000Z and DS2000A Digital Oscilloscopes series. The oscilloscopes offer a bandwidth from 70MHz to 300MHz and a specially designed analog front end with a lower noise floor and a wider vertical range (MSO2000A only 500 uV/div to 10 V/div) at full bandwidth. The instruments also leverage Rigol’s innovative "UltraVision" technologies from the DS6000 series.

Pico-Linux28 February 2014 - Pico Technology has just released a beta version of the PicoScope 6 oscilloscope software for Linux. This is in response to requests from a large number of customers in the scientific and educational fields where Linux is widely used. PicoScope 6 is a powerful application that converts a PC into an oscilloscope, FFT spectrum analyser and measuring device. On-device buffering, using deep memory on some devices, ensures that the display is updated frequently and smoothly even on long timebases.

RS-RTE27 February 2014 - Rohde & Schwarz presented on the Embedded World trade fair in Germany the new R&S RTE oscilloscope family. The instruments are available with bandwidths from 200 MHz to 1 GHz, with an acquisition rate of more than one million waveforms per second and a highly accurate digital trigger system with virtually no trigger jitter. With a sampling rate of 5 Gsample per second and a maximum memory depth of 50 Msample per channel, the R&S RTE can accurately record the long signal sequences required when analyzing the data content of serial protocols such as I2C and CAN.

Tektronix-MDO300026 February 2014 – The new MDO3000 Series of Mixed Domain Oscilloscopes of Tektronix includes a spectrum analyzer, logic analyzer, protocol analyzer, arbitrary function generator and digital voltmeter - all in one instrument. The MDO3000 clears the design bench of costly, specialized equipment and provides the tools needed to test and debug virtually any embedded design. In addition the MDO3000 is completely customizable enabling customers to select the functionality and performance needed now and later.

Pico-8-Channel25 February 2014 - The new 8-channel PC oscilloscope PicoScope 4824 from Pico Technology features eight high-resolution channels with 12-bit resolution, SuperSpeed USB 3.0 interface, and an integrated 14-bit arbitrary waveform generator (AWG). Like all PicoScopes, the 4824 is small, light, and highly portable; despite its high specification it is entirely powered via USB and does not require a bulky separate adaptor.

Keysight-Infiniium 90000X12 February 2014 – Agilent Technologies introduced a debugging tool that helps DDR memory designers perform precompliance tests, discover the root cause of compliance failures, and maximize design margins. The tool allows designers to easily navigate to areas of interest for further analysis and collect and analyze statistical data. The DDR3 and LPDDR3 debug tool runs on Infiniium 9000A, 90000A, 90000 X- and 90000 Q-Series oscilloscopes.

Keysight-Infiniium 90000X30 January 2014 – Agilent Technologies introduced the industry’s first software for decoding USB 3.0 SuperSpeed Inter-Chip (SSIC) and MIPI Camera Serial Interface 3 (CSI-3) protocols on oscilloscopes. The new protocol decoders provide design and validation engineers with a fast, easy way to validate and debug their SSIC and CSI-3 interfaces.

Picoscope-320017 January 2014 - Pico Technology announced that it has become a member of the MathWorks Connections Program. The PicoScope 3000 Series oscilloscopes now have an instrument driver for the Instrument Control Toolbox. This includes all models apart from the Mixed Signal and Differential Oscilloscopes, with drivers for other product ranges to be provided in the future.
